The citizen looked middle class and was a white-clad man. He ordered tea and sat down. When the waiter came, he asked the price of the dal plate. I was listening carefully because I was sitting at the next table.

The waiter told me that the main plate was 280 rupees. He took out money from his pocket and checked it. He asked the waiter to bring a half plate of dal. The waiter apologized, a full plate can be had, half is not allowed.

He did not say anything, but quietly ordered bread, saying, "Bring bread with tea." I was watching this whole scene carefully.

I invited him with great affection to eat with me, but he apologized gently. I was very stubborn, but he did not agree.
