"The Test of Gratitude: A Lesson from the Children of Israel"

The story of three people from the Children of Israel..!! ✍🏻

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “There were three people among the Children of Israel. One was a leper, the other was blind and the third was bald. Allah Almighty wanted to test them. So Allah Almighty sent an angel to them. The angel came to the first leper and asked him, ‘What do you like most?’ He replied, ‘A good complexion and a good skin, because people avoid me.’ The angel touched him, and his illness was cured, and his complexion became beautiful and his skin became good. The angel asked, ‘What kind of wealth do you like most?’ He said, ‘A camel.’ So he was given a pregnant she-camel and it was said, ‘May Allah Almighty bless you with it.’ Then the angel came to the bald man and asked him, ‘What do you like most?’ He said, ‘Good hair and the removal of my present defect, because people avoid me because of it.’ The angel touched his head and his blemish disappeared and beautiful hair grew in its place.

The angel asked: What kind of wealth would you like?

He said: Cows.

The angel gave him a pregnant cow and said that Allah Almighty would bless it.

Then the angel came to the blind man and said: What do you like?

He said: Allah Almighty grant me the light of my eyes so that I can see people.

The angel touched his hand and Allah Almighty restored his sight.

Then he asked: What kind of wealth would you like?

He said: Goats.

The angel gave him a pregnant goat.

Then the three animals (camel, cow and goat) gave birth to their young. Until the leper's valley was filled with camels. The bald man's valley was filled with bulls. And the blind man's valley was filled with goats.

Then again the angel came to the leper in his first form and said, "I am a very poor and needy man. All the supplies and means of the journey have been exhausted and I have no hope of fulfilling my needs from anyone other than Allah Almighty, but I ask you, by the intercession of the One who gave you a good complexion, good skin and wealth, for a camel. With which I can complete the journey."

He said to the angel: "I have many rights and many more."

The angel said: "Perhaps I recognize you! Didn't you have leprosy, because of which people hated you. You were a poor and a wretch. Then Allah Almighty gave you these things?"

He said: "All this wealth has come from my fathers."

The angel said: "If you are a liar, may Allah return you to your first state."

Then the angel came to the bald man in his first form and made the same request to him, and he also gave the same leper's answer.

The angel said: If you are a liar, may Allah return you to your first state.

Then the angel came to the blind man in his first state and said, I am a poor man, all the provisions for the journey have been exhausted, and I do not expect to be fulfilled by anyone except Allah. I ask you, by the One who has restored your sight, for a goat to meet the needs of my journey.

The blind man replied: "Indeed, I was blind, and Allah gave me sight out of His grace, and I was poor and needy, and Allah made me rich. You can take as many goats as you wish. By Allah, since you have given the intercession of Allah, take as many as you wish. I cannot stop you at all."

The angel said: "Keep your wealth with you. This was only a test, and Allah is pleased and pleased with you, and is displeased with your two companions."
